Recently, I went to watch the Phantom of the Opera. It is SUPERB i tell you!!! The songs, hearing it live in such a good theatre, seeing it rather close up (cat 1 seats)... like woww!!! It was flawless; no glitches no nothing. I'm not surprised though... The shows been running for a long time; the cast must have done this at least a hundred times. I wasn't aware that the Esplanade sound system was that good man. I was waiting to watch the show for so long! I hope more musicals like these come to Singapore soon. Another impressive one was Les Miserables, which I do hope would come around again, although the Phantom made more impression on me. Andrew Lloyd Webber composes the best songs around. Even after listening to them for so many years.. (I was 10 when they came around the last time) I'm not sick of it. The orchestra did a fine job. So much better than listening to it on CD man. I'd recommend this to anyone!
Anyway just yesterday I paid a visit to the dentist. I am not scared of the dentist anymore... Not THAT scared at least. It was painful though, but I realised that even then it was tolerable. The thing is to get a nice dentist who'd talk to you. And the NTU one's a friendly fella who makes small talk about how horrid schoolwork was(NUS dentistry... haha.) and apologizes everytime I flinch in pain. which is pretty damn often. This serves as an occasional reminder to floss more often! argh! i do NOT like flossing. It is... an extra thing to do. but i suppose if it could prevent quick plaque buildup i ought to give daily flossing a try.
