i watched a show yesterday... tuesdays with morrie (based on a best-selling title by mitch albom). Its about an old sociology professor Morrie and his ex-student, who learns many life lessons from him. The old professor is suffering from lou gehrig's disease (neurodegenerative) and he is dying. He then decides to embark on one last lesson, to teach people about life. The story basically takes place during the time from which this old professor receives his "death sentence" till after he succumbs to the disease. They meet every tuesday to record down their conversations about life, hence the title. It's pretty damn touching and sad too, which is very typical of mitch albom's books such as the 5 people you meet in heaven etc. These kiinds of stories remind you to put your problems in perspective. I was kind of upset with the bf last night for this strnge reason which I suddenly felt was way too trivial to get angry over afterwards. I actually felt calmer after watching the show.
