OH. sex in the city rawks. ahh. i think charlotte's hot! go watch! www.youtvpc.com. good website with nice shows to entertain. i do wish they had the simpsons and the rest of sex in the city though=(

my lovely boyfriend is back! yayness.
i got some really cool shiseido items, dkny eau de parfum so delicious, a box of strawberry white chocs, a big box of chocs for the parents, instant miso soup and an old favourite of mine peppermint green tea. =) oh and this gimongous (gigantic- humongous) fluffy pink rabbit earred thing that you wrap ard your head in cold countries. has a minnie mouse on it. hahaha. ridiculously pink but very cute. and my silly little bf wore it around tokyo disneyland. hahaha. he looked GAY. but rather adorable XD... will post pictures if i can find some soon. and my mummy's old friend got me a lovely pink bag. oh and recently my aunty gave me a pair of black pants from mexx. its the silky rather baggy drawstring type. plain black with a little bit of sequin designs on it. can someone suggest what would be nice to pair that up with? it feels like xmas all over again! new stuff. ahhhh. and HOLIDAYS. and MONEY. dont think i'd go around spending that though. i'm saving up to make up for the losses incurred during driving. =p

today was tennis with the guys and my dumbo sister. she made them run around till they were panting. hahaha. i wish i had that power too! and duck rice after that was extremely rewarding. ohohoho. that reminds me. i shall post up a list of my favourie foodd spots in singapore! NOT in order. i juust mention whatever comes to mind. cheapand good... some of them. focus on mainly hawker stalls. will add somemore once i find any.

1. lim seng lee duck rice - duck rice stall at 38 south buona vista road. WonDERFUL sambal kangkong and toufu. oooh. and the boneless skinless duck is oozzzzing with smooth dark gravy. everything is good there. had that today: )

2. pork porridge at jurong east market with egg. ahh. sorry dont know the exact name of the stall. haha. lol. but they open only in the morning. good homemade porridge, not cooked till all the grains look too disintegrated, which is what i like.

3. bee hoon at keat hong market.

4. bak kut teh at can 1 ntu is really good!

5. Lavender street wan ton mee. LOVELY. theyre open till late. u'd recognize the stall from the ridiculously long queue. :) small portions but REALLY worth every cent.

6. wan ton mee near my place, cck ave 1. at this place called nam seng seafood village. my place is at hong san walk, palm gardens =) theyre closed on mondays. open from morning till afternoon. wonderful chilli sauce! very overlooked. but its a family favourite: )

7. tze char at li hwa beer gardens. taman jurong right nxt to fairway club. near jurong sec. ohhh sinful sinful! their kangkong, pork ribs and fried rice is super extra tasty!

8. no signboard seafood. chilli crab. oooh.

9. bedok 's bak chor mee. best eaten served in soup.for more info. go look up life! eats, this uber useful foody guide.

10. indulgz restaurant cos i had the most wonderful vday date there:D

11. frankel ave's bistro restaurant. daphne used to work there and i remember really good bread pudding and risotto.

12. i think cafe at the quad's food isnt too bad, their beef baked rice. after so many months of eating the same ol', i'm still not sick of it!

13. ichiban boshi, esplanade:) scandalous first date with good ol' bf. i ate till i almost puked. that was goodfood.

14. rochor beancurd at geylang! smooth creamy texture. with fantastic crystal dumplings. with fantabulous chilli sauce. ahhh. just had some of that stuff.

i failed again... this time 2IFs. =(
i kinda lost it and started tearing. had the urge to ask the tester to just let me go back . didnt wanna do the rest of the test. urgh. i know it isnt a big deal for some people but it is tiring to keep having to go back. anda big financial burden. horrid. and i'm beginning to think that i really cannot control my nerves man. this time i knew it wasnt my driving... it was the freaking out bit.
sighh.

bah. i'm glad i finished the lab reports and the cover letter and resumes... breathe a sigh of relief. now i'm ready to face more!

gah. anyway. i've got an awful lot of lab reports and rewriting coverletters to do now. have to stop getting distracted and suppress the urge to crawl into my mummy's fluffy queen sized bed! i've been staying at home these few days and it's been nice & comfy. =) ohhhhhhhhhhhh.

I am so so sleepy! I spent the whole day writing one cover letter and resume. and i also learnt how to make bah. Did not manage to get any studying done. Probably wouldnt for the next few days cos i have loads of rubbish assignmnets and reports to do. can't wait for 1 week break. uninterrupted studying! nah. actually its really because i get to maple in the mornings and stay and home, cook up a storm in the kitchen and sleep the rest of the day away yay:D and i can spend quality time with my hammies. my poor brown hammies getting really slow. he kinda waddles around the cage most of the time. and his lump is so big it weighs down his cheek pouches and pulls his eyes open. boo. :( going to go check on him now before i turn in to bed.
i miss charles so much. his incessant poking fun at me. the way he frowns when he's staring at his laptop. his spastic ways. his embarrassingly loud singing. and he makes me laugh. i wish he was around now. so i dont have to do 2 lab reports tmr. YUCK.

Theyre wilting in my living room vase now:( but anyway thats not the point. He told me not to expect anything else when he gave me this Rocher wrapped up with flowers much earlier in the day, so i didn't. I was pleasantly surprised when he gave me these 2 dozen roses when we met that evening for our date to 'McDonalds'

I guess u'd infer that we didn't end up there for our date. I didn't know he booked a reservation to Indulgz, this restaurant i've been bugging him to take me to for a long long long time:p It costs a bomb. and i totally appreciate the effort and money put in:) this was our very heavenly strawberry chocolate fondue.

Hers: Baby lobster linguine with caviar and salad.

His: Chicken breast stuffed with mixed dried fruits, mash potatoes and salad.

Tomato soup with some chilli and pink peppercorn i think. Good stuff.

My bf looking bored while i ignore him and proceed to take photos of the surroundings and our lovely table arrangement. The pink champagne was good stuff. and those rose petals in the picture ended up burnt cos of their shape and my bf's itchy hands. at least the ones down there were left untouched:)

I feel so much better after cooking my own food. Yong tau foo soup rox! I cooked 1 packet of those yong tau foo ingredients. It's enough to fill me up for a quick lunch before tennis, and for me to bring home and probably feed my family for tonight's dinner. Minimal oil, almost no salt,whatever ingredients I want, I can keep track of my own portions, minimize wastage. I have NO idea why some eateries give such humongous portions of food. I find it rather repulsive to be eating so much food at one go. Isn't it more profitable for them to serve smaller normal portions to you? I saw one particular stall at schoool, i won't say which one but they give annoying large portions of rice. Even my bf couldn't finish it man! Not like it's the end of the day when the stalls want to finish up all their remaining food. You know, when you takeaway the food, the rice fills up the entire packet CLOSED. that's like enough to feed me for like 2 days! OMG! alright, I do eat less than the average person due to that very limited stomach capacity of mine. But even then, it is enough for 2 meals for the average guy. It seems almost obscene, the idea that one could finish up that entire portion. ahh. plus, i knw that most people are feel obligated to finish up whatever's on their plate cos of all that don't waste food cos there are starving children in africa things, and various other reasons unbeknown to me. So people end up overeating! do you know that binge eating is on the rise and has overtaken anorexia to become the biggest eating problem in developed countries? How can you stuff so much food into your customers!!?!??? I feel like asking the stall aunties.

i have not been blogging for a while... busy again as usual:p with the pjc class reunion which was kickass!(yes, i still keep in touch with my 1st 3 mths classmates... :D), shu's birthday party, charles dad's bday dinner, and tennising with various different people. The wii is really one helluva cool gadget. put wii sports in a home party and you don't even have to knw each other well to have fun! It is not just interesting to play, but interesting to watch others play as well; unlike most other games where you kinda get bored watching after a while, this one makes the player look rather ridiculous, which is precisely why its so entertaining to watch. anywya i'm still not getting it for poor ol' bf cos i'm out of money!

certain things have been on my mind these days again... mainly the whole exchange program thing. my dear mummy just offered me emotional and financial support =) but now the hardest hurdle to cross... getting in! i absolutely regret not studying hard enough when i was in the 2nd sem of year one. which is why i so have to do well this sem! but that's not really the point now... I wonder if it is possible to get into the exchange program with only 3 places in my school of choice, awful lousy crummy 3.26 gpa score (the recommended score is 3.5) and... I 'd really like to do it nxt sem cos my dearest bf is going too! I don't really want to be all sticky and stuff but exchange programmes seem a whole lot better when u get to go with at least 1 of your closest beloved people. ohhhh. hope for the best! application is next week! arh I hate these kind of things, where you have to wait like forever for the results of the applications. I don't like suspense, I don't like not knowing stuff. alright. no more ranting now. I did resolve to make my blog just a little bit less depressing and whiny, but I can't help it since I do like whining about stuff very much! and you guys are going to have to listen to my complaining! :) hahaha! if only i could record it down here then u can hear my voice along with it, which makes it like so much worse. oh well...
